White Truffle Risotto

White Truffle Risotto

In the spirit of the Holidays, I like to make at least one uber-indulgent dish to share with family and friends. This year’s dish is a risotto made with one of the world’s most exotic and luxurious ingredients: the white truffle. For recipe and instructions… (Read More)

Double Cover

Written By: Rachael S.

We learn a lot from our moms in the breastfeeding trenches and during holidays and travel times we hear a lot about why moms like to have two Bébé au Lait covers in rotation–one stays in the baby bag and one stays in the house. That way they’re never without no matter where they visit or who comes to visit them. And if one is in the washer, then there’s still one on active duty. To say “thank you for a great year” we took that info and are running a very special promo through tomorrow only–BOGO. Enter code “MYSTERY” at checkout and when you buy one nursing cover, we will slip a second one (mystery pattern) in the box plus right now there’s FREE SHIPPING. That’s serious savings, and serious readiness for wherever your holiday takes you. Be Well and Happy Holidays!

The Double Bib, Served with Mom Made Foods

Written By: Rachael S.

Margot

Margot

After reading about a Mom-run company called Mom Made Foods who chef up USDA certified organic, homemade purees for babies and mini meals for toddlers which are sold at Super Targets and Whole Foods–our interest was piqued. Since we were getting ready to launch our award-winning Double Bib, we called them to see if it was ok to use their product at our Bib photo shoot. They said yes and we became fast friends with a shared enthusiasm for producing quality products for busy moms. The babies (Margot and Oliver) at our photo shoot loved the pear and broccoli purees and we got our shots. The bibs got a workout and their four clean sides/reversible nature came in handy since the babies gobbled up their meals. Nice work.

Chic Tech: The Apple Macbook Pro

New Macbook Pro

New Macbook Pro

When it comes to computers, whether desktop or laptop, no one makes them as pretty as Apple. In October, Apple released their newest laptops, the Macbook and Macbook Pro.

The beauty of this new computer comes from a new manufacturing process. Traditionally, laptops are made by building an internal structure, then designing a pretty exterior which attaches to the internal frame. It’s a tried and true method, but for Apple, not quite satisfactory anymore. (Read More)

Burp Cloth turned Everything Cloth

A Constant at My Table for over Three Years! The Bebe au Lait Burp Cloth

Before I worked directly with Bebe au Lait, the owners/founders were friends of friends and so I came to acquire a few items before the name was as well known as it is today. Besides the nursing cover, I bought a handful of their burp cloths–because they were pretty and truly absorbent. I would estimate that from then to now, these six burps cloths have been washed at least 200 times which means they have only cost me about a penny per use…and they’re still in use. The Bebe au Lait burp cloths were a constant presence during the breast feeding, bottle, and baby food years and are still at our dining table, in our cars, and in the kid’s travel kit since they do their job so well and wash so easily. I really like an item constructed of a high enough quality to not only withstand that amount of use, but one that also lasts beyond my kids’ “baby” years. So, here are some shots from our Saturday pancake breakfast which is where and when I realized that I’d been using these “burp” cloths for 3-1/2 years now…and counting.

We Got Bowled Over Last Night!

Written By: Mindy J.
Pick One!

Pick One!

With Ronnie and Claire leaving for holiday next week, we squeezed our end of the year company holiday party in last night. Even booking way back in August, we were only able to secure a Thursday night for the much anticipated event: bowling at 300 San Jose in the Back 9! If you’re not familiar with the entertainment venue (there are a few locations nationwide), they promote themselves — and the Back 9 especially –as an all-in-one “trendy club/hot new bistro/upscale sports bar” so there’s a little bit of something for everyone and their dates.

After grabbing appetizers and drinks we spread out four to a lane which allowed everyone to get in plenty of games in between bites of our catered “Smokehouse BBQ Buffet” and brownie dessert bites. Special thanks to Suzanne and the event staff in the Back 9 who did a stellar job communicating with me to pull the night together. And, of course, thank you to Ronnie and Claire for hosting the event! Check out photos below:
